Aleksandrs Fillers is a voluntary member of the Government and Law Research Group at the University of Antwerp and an Associate Professor at the Riga Graduate School of Law. He holds a Doctorate in Law from the University of Antwerp with his thesis being devoted to the analysis of EU private international law. His primary teaching and research expertise covers private international law and international commercial law (most notably, the CISG and the CMR), international arbitration, and public international law. He is the author of more than 30 publications.
