Damjan Grozdanovski is a voluntary PhD Researcher in the Government and Law Research Group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Esther van Zimmeren. Damjan currently works as a License Manager at the Research, Innovation & Valorisation Antwerp (RIVA). He is a qualified lawyer by profession since 2018, when he passed the bar exam in North Macedonia. Damjan has an LLM with honours in European business law from Lund University, Sweden. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje.
Among his previous professional experiences are working for the European Commission in Brussels in the period 2022-2024, being a guest lecturer in IP Law at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge in the period 2020-2024, as well as being a legal consultant in more than 10 projects co-financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the period 2018-2023. In 2017, Damjan was awarded second place by the Court of Justice of the EU in the prestigious ELMC competition, as part of the team representing Lund University. In the pursuit of both his LLM and LLB degrees, he received a scholarship, namely the Lund University Global Scholarship for high achieving students in 2015, and the Macedonian national scholarship for exceptional students in 2012.
