The Henry van de Velde research group creates two platforms for researchers to share and discuss their work: a colloquium and floating ideas sessions.
Each year, a Colloquium is organized where all PhD candidates present current work: a paper, research results or general progress and methodology.
Additionally, short on-campus or online sessions, Floating Ideas, offer individual PhD candidates a space to pitch hypotheses and float ideas. Making use of the online setting, they invite one virtual guest of their choice from their field of question and extend the discussion to all participants. This way, they share what they are working on and actively make use of the broader knowledge of the Henry van de Velde research community.
