Bio
H. Tuba Bölük works as a Lecturer and Researcher at the Faculty of Architecture, Mardin Artuklu University, Türkiye. After completing her master's degree at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, TU Wien, her passion for interdisciplinary collaborations and especially for architectural design, theory and history, led her to look for ways to build a more focused and research based career.
Her current theoretical interests focus on interdisciplinary and contextual studies of construction knowledge and engineering history as a way of understanding the nature of Ottoman modernity.
Favourite (interior) architecture project
A house in Mardin. Your body reacts to the surrounding space. Even if you can able to feel the texture, temperature, and density of surfaces with a mild stroke, the senses in the house is mostly linked to time and silence.
