Bio
Zena graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture with greatest distinction in 2024. Throughout her studies, she gained valuable experience working in several offices specialising in architecture and related fields. In 2022, Zena broadened her academic horizons by spending a semester at ENSA Nantes, further enriching her architectural perspective. Her master’s thesis, a hybrid of research and design focused on the adaptive reuse of buildings, reflects her growing interest in reuse and adaptability as responsible approaches to architecture. She is dedicated to advancing architectural practices that prioritise versatility and longevity, ensuring that buildings serve productive and sustainable purposes over extended lifespans.
Favourite (interior) architecture project
Zena’s favourite building is the École Supérieure d'Architecture de Nantes by Lacaton & Vassal. Its innovative design maximises space and integrates seamlessly with the city. The building’s adaptable spaces encourage creativity and community engagement, making it a dynamic environment. Her experience as a student there deepened her appreciation for architecture that prioritises both functionality and spatial generosity.
