​FARO is the “Flemish Institution for Cultural Heritage”. We collaborate with and support heritage professionals across a wide range of sectors, including archives, heritage libraries, heritage service providers, museums... We also work closely with policymakers and municipal culture and heritage services.

Our mission is to assist heritage organizations by offering expertise in nearly every aspect of cultural heritage management. Whether it's policy planning, collection management, diversity initiatives, marketing, preventive conservation, or promoting the values of cultural heritage, FARO is here to help. We provide practice-oriented training programs, personalized advice, and tailored guidance to meet the unique needs of each organization. Additionally, we are proud to lead initiatives such as Erfgoeddag (Heritage Day), the Heritage App, and various media partnerships to foster engagement with cultural heritage across Flanders and Brussels.
