​Brecht Liefsoens is a doctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Human Genetic Genealogy (KU Leuven). As a historian in this interdisciplinary team, he focuses on bridging the gap between various themes in family history and contemporary human genetic research. As part of his PhD project on nineteenth-century fatherhood, he regularly engages with genealogical communities and citizen scientists.
