About June
Jiyun Zhang (aka. June) is an independent animation film maker and a PhD in cultural heritage studies. She is a member of the ARCHES research group, faculty of Design Sciences of the University of Antwerp. Based on interdisciplinary approach, her research aims to connect Critical Heritage Studies with Media Archaeology. She conducts comparative research to investigate the framing of the participation of Heritage Practice Communities in intangible cultural heritage nomination videos submitted by State Parties of the UNESCO 2003 Convention.
