I am a clinical audiologist at the European Institute for ORL-HNS of Sint-Augustinus Hospital in Antwerp, Belgium. In 2014, I obtained my bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Therapy at the Thomas More Hogeschool, Antwerp, Belgium. In the following year, I also obtained my bachelor's degree in Audiology. I investigated the effects of air and bone conduction stimuli on the cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potentials for my bachelor's thesis, which was supervised by doctor Robby Vanspauwen (PhD). The manuscript of this thesis was chosen as the 'Best Thesis of 2015'. In 2017, I obtained my master's degree in Audiology at the University of Ghent and since then I am active as a clinical audiologist at the European Institute for ORL-HNS. I obtained my doctorate about electrical vestibular stimulation and the vestibular implant at the University of Antwerp (LEIA) in 2024. The International Vestibular Society granted me the “Young Researcher Award” in 2021.
Currently, I continue working on vestibular implants and electrical vestibular stimulation.
