Yousra Benfquih, finalist Flemish PhD Cup
Yousra Benfquih, guest researcher in the Law and Development group, has been selected to compete for the Flemish PhD Cup. Yousra PhD dissertation titled, 'Reasonable accommodation in education: an integrated human rights approach on the basis of the right to equality, inclusive education, and freedom of religion' was one of the 16 out of over 50 dissertations chosen to advance to the next round of the competition. Yousra successfully defended her PhD thesis in June 2020, and is now the coordinator of the newly founded Hannah Arendt Institute for Diversity, Urbanisation and Citizenship.
