12 November, 3-5 pm. Room S.E. 122 (UA Stadscampus)

Join us for a compelling seminar on the interconnected oppressions and resistances in Palestine and beyond. Several regions and communities share with Palestine the systemic oppression, human rights violations and violence. As Israeli killings in Palestine in the last 12 months alone have resulted in the death toll of over 40,000 people, it is only important to re-emphasize the need of global solidarity between different struggles and movements. But also moving beyond a shared sense of solidarity, it is also important to expose the interlinkages between these seemingly distant instances of oppressions, in Palestine and beyond. Featuring insights from Haris Zargar, doctoral candidate from the ISS, The Hague, as the guest speaker, and with Maha Abdallah, doctoral candidate from the Law Faculty at the University of Antwerp as the discussant, this seminar aims to explore the global nature of oppression and resistance. Together, we seek to amplify voices of resistance and advocate for freedom. Join us as we connect the dots between these vital struggles and the global movements that support them.
