CarEdOn - Writing Day – teambuilding (16/01/2023)
On the 16th of January, the team of CarEdOn (www.caredon.org) had a writing day planned. CarEdOn is an ambitious research group whose mission is to improve Care in Edema and Oncology by advancing biopsychosocial assessment and treatment and includes many MOVANT members (@Vincent Haenen, Amber De Groote, Kaat Verbeelen, An De Groef, Thijs Vande Vyvere, Lore Dams, Tessa De Vrieze, Sophie Van Dijck, Mira Meeus) besides members of the KU Leuven.
There, free from the daily distractions, we could indulge ourselves in writing. The writing started at nine o'clock in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea. Everyone was intensely focused, and it was very productive morning. In the afternoon there was a Q&A session with the lead investigators, to brainstorm and discuss about the paper in progress.
With the motto of ‘mens sane in corpore sano’ we went playing padel as a team activity in the afternoon. Despite some of us having never played the sport before, within an hour of gameplay, everyone had a good feel for it. Our heads were cleared, and that meant we could proceed the writing.
