The Molecular Imaging Center Antwerp (MICA) is a joint initiative by the University of Antwerp and the University Hospital of Antwerp. The center combines a radiopharmacy group, a preclinical imaging laboratory and the clinical nuclear medicine department.
The center has a strong expertise in translational molecular imaging with radiolabelled tracers using positron emission tomography (PET) or single-photon emission tomography (SPECT).
The research focus of the team is on the development and validation of new imaging biomarkers in neurodegenerative disorders, neuro-inflammation and oncology.
