CRESC is a research center within the Department of Sociology at the University of Antwerp. The center focuses on sociological research on environmental and social change, in an urban context and the wider living environment. Dynamics of social inclusion and exclusion, (changing) patterns of citizenship, civic participation and solidarity, patterns of global mobility, migration governance and how they change specific understanding of place and communities, social work, governance of transitions, risk management and the role of science, knowledge and culture in social and environmental change form the core of the research.
