Over the last decade, construction projects have become increasingly interdisciplinary and collaborative. At the same time, the number of legal issues negatively affecting construction has been increasing as well. These legal issues end up costing money and time; resources that could have been spent better otherwise. Therefore, this research project will provide an analysis of some of these legal issues, specifically in the area of architects regulation (i.e. the Belgian 1939 Architects Law and Copyright Legislation). The objective is to work proactively and anticipatory in order to prevent unnecessary losses of time and money during, or after, the realization of construction projects.
