Photocopying and scanning
A self-service photocopying and scanning machine is available in the reading room. Readers should obtain a copy card at the University Library (location and costs).

The following rules apply:
- taking photographs is only allowed following permission by a member of staff
- the use of a flash light is not allowed
- the images taken are to be used for personal study and research only, not for publication
- reproductions intended for publication must be ordered
Reproduction requests
Reproductions (photographs or scans) of items from our special collections can be ordered at the desk or by email (erna.vanlooveren@uantwerpen.be).
Digitization requests
Special Collections at the University Library digitizes books from its own collection and from the Ruusbroec Institute Library collection. The digitized books can be consulted online via the library's digital platform. Over 150 titles are already available online.
Items from the Ruusbroec Library collection are digitized on request - for digital purposes only.
When an item is available digitally, you will find a link under 'Beschikbaarheid': 'Elektronisch beschikbaar uit de historische collecties van de bibliotheek van het Ruusbroecgenootschap'. This link will bring you directly to the digital platform to consult the document.
