During their internship/bachelor project, students investigate an advanced technical-scientific problem related to a specific research question. The students will choose a project which can vary from scientific research to the realization of a design, simulation, and optimization within a research question oriented in civil/road engineering. The student should perform her/his tasks under the supervision of a mentor (project proposer). Although the internship/bachelor projects mostly focus on literature study, depending on the content, the project can potentially expand to some practical implementation as well as laboratory or field experimental procedures and investigation.
Following the internship/bachelor project, students will acquire the necessary scientific and technological knowledge to execute their dissertations. Moreover, to develop a research attitude and be capable of solving an advanced practical problem, the student will use literary data to highlight and tackle an advanced practical problem. At the end of the project, the students should deliver an English paper that meets the scientific standards in terms of content and form. Accordingly, the student should present technical information and their findings in a logical and structured way in their paper.
During this course, aside from technical knowledge, the student will gain sufficient knowledge to report on the project and will be able to defend the project orally in front of a professional jury. The available projects are divided into three categories:
