Our Core Expertise

At BioCLEAR, our work is driven by four specialized service clusters. Each cluster represents a focus area designed to address specific environmental challenges through advanced biotechnological approaches:

  1. Nitrogen Cluster (N)

    • Goal: We transform wastewater, urine, and manure into resources such as clean water, nitrogen-rich fertilizers, or nitrogen gas.
    • Expertise: We excel in biological nitrogen removal techniques, wastewater treatment, high-efficiency sludge systems, water quality assessments, and sustainable fertilizer production (organic and inorganic). This helps partners achieve both environmental and economic sustainability.
  2. CO2 Cluster (CO2)

    • Goal: Harnessing the natural capabilities of organisms and cutting-edge technology, we accelerate CO2 weathering, reducing carbon footprints.
    • Expertise: By combining prokaryotes, plants, fungi, and invertebrates with AI-driven reactor designs, we offer novel pathways to speed up CO2 sequestration, contributing to impactful climate solutions.
  3. Microbial Protein Cluster (MP)

    • Goal: We innovate in microbial protein production, with applications spanning food, animal feed, and fertilizers.
    • Expertise: Our expertise includes the cultivation of microalgae and purple bacteria for sustainable protein sources, which can reduce reliance on conventional agriculture. Using optimized reactors and preservation methods, we support industries aiming to produce eco-friendly, alternative proteins.
  4. System Analysis Cluster (SA)

    • Goal: We develop sustainable systems to minimize environmental impacts, integrating microbial biotechnology into production and treatment systems.
    • Expertise: Through comprehensive sustainability assessments, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), and Material Flow Analysis (MFA), we evaluate and optimize new technologies for cleaner production and reduced resource use. We focus on key environmental cycles, including water, nitrogen, phosphorus, and protein.
