Plasma Lab for Applications in Sustainability and Medicine - ANTwerp
The research group PLASMANT is specialized in computer simulations for plasmas, plasma-surface interactions and laser-surface interactions. Recently, the group also started with experimental research on the plasma-based conversion of greenhouse gases into value-added chemicals, using a home-built plasma reactor. Specific research lines:
- Plasmas for materials science applications (microelectronics industry, nanotechnology) and medical applications: combination of plasma and plasma-surface interactions modeling
- Plasmas for analytical chemistry applications: plasma modeling
- Plasmas for environmental chemistry (greenhouse gas conversion, VOC abatement): combination of plasma chemistry modeling, plasma reactor modeling, modeling of plasma-catalyst interactions and experimental work on plasma conversion and plasma-catalysis for CO2 conversion (collaboration with LADCA).
