Air Transport Research Society World Conference
5 - 8 July 2017 - University of Antwerp Stadscampus
The University of Antwerp is proud to host the 21st edition of the ATRS World Conference.
The conference will be organized by the Department of Transport and Regional Economics in cooperation with C-MAT (Centre for Maritime and Air Transport Management). High-level speakers of academia, government as well as industry will discuss current issues in the air transport sector.
This four-day event will allow presentation and discussion of on the one hand completed research in air transportation and on the other hand research in process. Also PhD researchers will receive the opportunity to present their work. Moreover, it is a perfect opportunity for scientists and practitioners to deepen their knowledge in theoretical topics as well as practice and to discuss new research areas and business opportunities.

Slotevent Steunpunt Mobilo | 24 November 2015
Op 31/12/2015 loopt het Steunpunt Goederen- en personenvervoer (MOBILO) (2012-2015) ten einde. Ter afsluiting wordt op 24 november 2015 van 12.30u tot 18u het slotevent 'Beleidsondersteunend onderzoek: luxe of noodzaak?' georganiseerd. Het zal plaatsvinden aan de Universiteit Antwerpen in de gebouwen van de Grauwzusters, Lange Sint-Annastraat 7, 2000 Antwerpen.
Urban Logistics & Mobility - Research Day | 2015
The Flemish Research Project on Urban Logistics & Mobility, granted by the Flemish Region & IWT, aims at contributing to the realization of sustainable logistics & mobility as a driving force for growth and prosperity in Flanders. Therefore, it was deemed necessary to build bridges between the logistic chain, space,economics, environment and mobility in an urban context. Such integral approach is innovative in scientific research and should lead to a more sustainable and smarter distribution and to an upgrade of the livability in the cities. The following universities and institutes joined into the project: UAntwerpen, UHasselt, KULeuven, UGent, VUB, VIL (Flemisch Institute for Logistics), VIM (Flemish Institute for Mobility). .
Aim of the Research Day
- Share and discuss preliminary results of the project research within the research group
- Enhance academic and practical knowledge on recent ULM research
- Share results with Scientific Committee, User Committee and research peer members
- Enhance interpersonal relations between universities' and institutes' project members
