Interactive sofasessions
SuperNova is more than just an exhibition, it is a platform for knowledge exchange. During two interactive sofa sessions, academic experts, spin-off founders, and business leaders shared their insights on entrepreneurship and business growth:
- The Entrepreneurial University of Antwerp: catalyst for commerce and investor collaboration - Featuring Vice-Rector Prof. dr. Steven Van Passel, Prof. dr. Annemie Bogaerts, dr. Jurgen Joossens, dr. Dirk Lanens and Vice-Rector Maarten Weyn (moderator)
- Academic spin-off stories: start-up strategies and growing your business - Featuring dr. Bert De Mot (CEO Oxylum), Prof. dr. David Van Laere (CEO Innocens) and dr. Lars Costers (Director of Clinical Applications at icometrix).
Investor Pitches
Two UAntwerp spin-offs, D-CRBN and Innocens, were selected to present their innovations during the Investor Pitches. This exclusive opportunity allowed them to showcase their technologies to an audience of national and international investors.
In 2024, SuperNova officialy took place under the name ‘FTI SuperNova’. This was due to its organisation as part of the ‘Flanders Technology and Innovation (FTI)’ initiative, which hosted tech events across Flanders.
