Where to search for funding?
Are you looking for information on how to get your research funded? These sections provide an overview of the various search funding channels and opportunities for postdoctoral researchers:
Funding for a postdoctoral research position can be done through:
- a personal postdoctoral fellowship funded by UAntwerp or external (Flemish, European, international);
- an appointment to a research project that was awarded to a supervisor/principal investigator (professor at UAntwerp) and funded by UAntwerp or external resources;
- an appointment as a principal research fellow (doctor assistent in Dutch) (apply via the vacancies for academic staff).
How to apply for funding?
Three helpful tips to keep in mind when applying for funding:
- Keep an eye on vacancies and open calls (Pintra login).
- Be aware that each of the funding opportunities is associated with a particular application process and is subject to particular regulations (eligibility conditions, duration, etc.). Remember that application procedures can take several months, so it is important to start on time.
- Come to Research, Innovation & Valorisation Antwerp (RIVA) for information, advice or support on Research & Proposal Writing and discover our Dive-into-training programme (Pintra login).
For general info and help with the proposal you may contact RIVA or the respective funding expert.
