ECOPLAN trade-off tool

This is a decision support tool that allows end users to “quickly” assess and compare the impact of changes in land cover and land-use (incl. Management options). Options in land-use/land-cover are selectable in terms of a set of boundary conditions (eg. soil type, slope ). The user can modify variables (or leave them out) and the impact of these changes is predicted on the basis of a probability distribution. This instrument is now powered by Bayesian belief network (BBN) models but can in principle be used with other input data.
