Ali Zain Ul Abadeen focuses on developing advanced photocatalytic pavements for urban air pollution mitigation. His research involves modifying TiO2 photocatalysts to enhance their activity and selectivity in degrading NOx, acetaldehyde, and soot using ISO standards. Zain evaluates nano-material modified photocatalytic asphalt using CLSM, ESEM, SEM, XRD, FTIR, H-NMR, and C-NMR. He characterizes bitumen volatile and semi-volatile organic fractions using GC-FID/MS, SIFT-MS, and NOx analyzers. He aims to optimize coatings to advance photocatalytic technology for improving urban air quality.
