Caroline Vandyck (ACDC) works as a predoctoral researcher under the supervision of Mike Kestemont and Remco Sleiderink on her FWO project "Boendale’s Many Faces: Modeling Historical Positionality in Jan van Boendale’s (c. 1280-1351?) Oeuvre" (1133925N). Jan van Boendale was the first Middle Dutch author for whom both a literary oeuvre and biographical information have survived — an excellent opportunity to investigate how his positionality influenced his literary works. Caroline examines this using methods from the Digital Humanities.
