Expertise

I consider myself a scientist-practitioner with a background in clinical psychology and family therapy and an expert in attachment, deeply motivated to change the lives of individuals who think about or engage in self-harm (suicidal and non-suicidal self-injury). I am specialized in innovative research methodologies, including Experience Sampling Methodology (ESM) and multilevel analyses, which allow for detailed insights into individual behavior and experiences over time. I am deeply committed to Open Science practices, with extensive experience in conducting Registered Reports, pre- and post-registering studies, and sharing analytical code and study materials. My work also involves utilizing preprints and employing a data check-out system to promote transparency and reproducibility in research. With a strong background in designing and implementing large-scale (non-)ESM studies, my expertise extends to the recruitment and management of large samples, as well as proficiency in quantitative data analysis using tools such as R, SPSS, and Microsoft programs. In addition to my research skills, I have a passion for education and mentorship, such as teaching and supervising master theses. I am also experienced in presenting complex research findings to both academic audiences and the general public, translating specialized knowledge into accessible formats. My work includes psycho-education and supporting grant writing to secure funding for impactful projects.
