Expertise
Dr. Laure Sorber has extensive experience in molecular biomarkers and oncological research. In her PhD, she has focused on designing the optimal workflow for liquid biopsy, consisting of circulating cell-free (tumor) DNA (cfDNA / ctDNA) and RNA (cfRNA / ctRNA) analysis, for use in research and clinical settings. Her expertise in designing, (clinically) validating, performing and/or analyzing molecular analyses (digital droplet PCR, real-time quantitative / reverse transcriptase PCR, spectrophotometric and fluorometric analyses) has enabled her to act as instructor at Masterclasses. Furthermore, she has intensive experience in organizing (multicenter) studies and evaluating / optimizing sample workflows and quality. Currently, she is working on a joint project with Biocartis NV in which they are evaluating the detection of gene-fusions in a pan-cancer setting.
