Strategic and operational management
Peter Van Humbeeck combines his work as a policy advisor in SERV with strategic and operational management support of the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General of SERV and its board.
In 2007 and 2012, he has performed a strategic assessment of the Council (using standard analytical management tools, internal working groups, interviews, surveys…) that resulted in reports and a set of reforms in the Council in order to become more efficient and results oriented. He still is responsible for overviewing implementation of the reform and for promoting innovation in the operation of the Secretariat of the Council.
He supports the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General of SERV in their strategic and operational management tasks and co-ordinates main projects at the research unit of the Council.
