Composition of two chapters for the first policy evaluation report on Flemish environmental policy. The chapters focus on aspects of policy implementation regarding the environmental permit and the installation of sewers by local governments.
Abstract
The project aims to deliver two chapters of the first policy evaluation report on Flemish environmental policy. The first chapter includes an evaluation of granting environmental permits in Flanders (case-study industrial waste water). The second chapter focuses on the role of local governments in the Flemish purification policy. Both chapters will be based on extensive research projects, resulting in research reports. On the basis of those research reports accessible summaries will be written in accordance with the structure and the set-up described in the `starting report MIRA-BE 2003' (June 2002).Researcher(s)

Scientific research in the framework of the first policy evaluation report on Flemish environmental policy. The research project focuses on the cooperation of local governments in the water purification policy of the Flemish government.
Abstract
The aim of the research project is to evaluate policy measures concerning the installation of sewers in Flanders. Particularly, the role of the local governments in sewering will be assessed. The project has to result in an overview of the bottlenecks that cause problems in the implementation of the Flemish water purification policy. Possible solutions to the policy problems will be elaborated.Researcher(s)
