Tegenlicht Meet Up UAntwerpen
In tandem with several civil society organizations and Prof. Steve Paulussen, Pieter Maeseele organises the Tegenlicht Meet Ups UAntwerpen since 2018. During this evening event, a VPRO Tegenlicht documentary (or similar alternative) is screened in which new ideas and trends are explored within the world of media, technology and society. After the screening, students can discuss public affairs with invited experts, lecturers and other interested people.

Together with colleagues from Ghent University, the University of Leuven, the Free University of Brussels and Université catholique de Louvain, Pieter Maeseele organizes the annual inter-university doctoral schools course 'What does it mean to be a researcher in 21st century academia?', providing a forum in which PhD students can reflect on the university of today and tomorrow.
