Raimonds Aronietis is a transport economist at the Department of Transport and Regional Economics and works on a range of issues related to transport with particular focus on innovation, policy analysis, data and statistics, road freight, maritime transport and ports. He has obtained a PhD degree in applied economics at the University of Antwerp. He teaches the Transport Policy course. He has previously worked as a policy analyst at the International Transport Forum / OECD and as a transport market analyst at the Road Transport Administration of Latvia.
