Abstract
The inhomogeneous splitting of impurity spin energy levels in mesoscopic samples will be analyzed. The polycrystalline structure of mesoscopic samples of dilute AuFe alloys will be taken into account. The influence of the surface-induced magnetic anisotropy on the linear magnetic susceptibility and its dependence on the shape of a sample will be investigated. In order to interpret experiments on the anomalous Hall effect in mesoscopic samples of dilute magnetic alloys, the magnetization of the impurity spins will be analyzed for various geometry of samples as a function of temperature at arbitrary strengths of an applied magnetic field. Using the Boltzmann equation formalism, the size dependence of transport coefficients (resistivity, thermopower) in dilute magnetic alloys will be studied for mesoscopic samples with various shape.
