one or more non-related (elective) programme components

In this case, there are three possible situations:

  • Attending programme components but not as part of a degree programme
If you only wish to take a few programme components at the University of Antwerp, regardless of your other enrolments, then you can choose a credit contract or a micro-credential. Note that an enrolment in a credit contract or a micro-credential can’t be used to apply for a student visa (which requires an enrolment in a fulltime programme). You will need authorisation from the organising faculty for this kind of enrolment. Degree and language requirements can apply. Tuition fees always apply.

  • Attending programme components as part of a programme at another Belgian university or an institution of the Antwerp University Association (interuniversity agreement)
You have enrolled on a programme at another Belgian university or an institution of the Antwerp University Association. And you have the chance to follow one or more elective courses at the University of Antwerp as part of your programme. These must be programme components which you cannot take at your own institution. In this case, your enrolment is made according to an interuniversity agreement. You will need authorisation from your faculty for this kind of enrolment and a proof of enrolment at your home institution. Once you have these documents, you can then enrol by following the standard procedure.
  • Attending programme components as part of a programme at a foreign university (Erasmus agreement exchange)
You have enrolled on a programme at a foreign university and you have the chance to take one or more programme components at the University of Antwerp as part of an Erasmus exchange. In this case, your enrolment is made as part of an exchange programme. Please read the information on the pages for Exchange students.

an interuniversity programme

An interuniversity programme is a programme that is organised by several universities.  Have you enrolled for an interuniversity programme (that the University of Antwerp is involved in) at a different institution? Then chances are that you will also need to take some programme components at the University of Antwerp. In addition to enrolling in your home institution, you will also have to enrol at the University of Antwerp to be able to use the facilities. You will need a proof of registration at the home institution. Once you have this document, you can then enrol by following the standard procedure.

multiple programmes

Submitting admission forms for more than one programme at the same time is not possible.  You have to wait for the results of one application package before you can submit another.
