Did you obtain your degree of secondary or higher education in Flanders?
Check if your degree is available as authentic information (and not as a declaration of honour) in the Leer- en ErvaringsbewijzenDatabank LED (login with eID required) of the Flemish Government. If this is the case your enrolment can be processed without the original degree.
If you cannot find your recently obtained degree in the LED, contact your educational institution after graduation and ask them to report your degree to the Flemish Government as soon as possible. If you obtained your degree over two months ago and you cannot find it in the LED while it should be there based on the list below, it is possible that there will be doubt concerning the authenticity of your degree and that your enrolment cannot be processed.
The following degrees can be found in the LED:
- Higher education degrees obtained as of academic year 1999-2000
- Secundary education degrees obtained as of school year 2002-2003
- Adult education degrees obtained as of school year 2013-2014
- Degrees of the examination committee of the Flemish Community as of the year 2014
If your degree is older and can therefore not be available in the LED, you should make an appointment with the registrar's office to present your certified, original your degree.
Did you obtain your degree of secondary or higher education in the Netherlands?
Check if your degree is available in My Diploma of DUO (login with DigiD required). If this is the case you most use the button on the attachments page of your online preregistration to send the diploma extract(s) from DUO to the Registrar’s Office of the University of Antwerp. If we receive your degree(s) this way, your enrolment file can be processed without your original degree.
If you cannot find your recently obtained degree in My Diploma, contact your educational institution after graduation and ask them to report your degree to DUO as soon as possible. Your enrolment will go more smoothly.
Please make sure to send through all the degrees available in My Diploma. This could be important for checking compliance with the language requirements.
To know which degrees are available in My Diploma, check this DUO-webpage.
If your degree cannot be available in My Diploma, you should make an appointment with the registrar's office to present your certified, original degree in person on campus.
If your degree should normally be available in My Diploma but you don’t have a DigiD (anymore) you should ask DUO for a secured PDF certificate concerning your degree via diplomadiensten@duo.nl. You should then upload this certified PDF on the attachments page of your online preregistration.
