1. The Master acquires profound knowledge of and insight in general practitioner's medical pathologies so as to be able to independently draw up an individual prevention policy, make diagnoses and to draw up and execute a treatment policy that has been discussed with the patient (and possibly with their nearest), taking care to consider the limits of their own expertise and abilities. 2. The Master can integrate the acquired knowledge and insights related to general practitioner's medical pathologies in the medical practice so as to act in a problem-solving way, taking the state-of-the-art of medical science into account. (CanMEDS: Scientist, Medical Expert)

The Master enhances the dissemination of scientifically founded medical-clinical information about causes, risk factors and preventive measures in relation to general practitioner's medical pathologies, can transfer this information correctly to medics and other caregivers and takes the initiative to draw the attention of patients and a larger audience to it. 6. The Master can make a contribution to research projects within the general practitioner's domain and is able to set up sound scientific research, execute it and report on it orally and in writing to peers and non-peers, taking into account the ethical and legal aspects of scientific research. The Master can communicate correctly, effectively and clearly on general practitioner's medical pathologies with patients and their nearest, applying a patient-oriented approach and is able to propose scientifically founded treatment options if necessary. The Master registers medical information in an understandable, complete and consistent way in accordance with the legal requirements and considering patient's privacy and the confidentiality of information; the Master knows how to use the designated digital technology effectively and is able to communicate this information orally to medics and other carers in an effective way. 9. The Master maintains positive contacts with other medics and carers, attunes overlapping and shared responsibilities, participates professionally in shared clinical decision-making and deals appropriately with differences of opinion and differences in professional background.
