Arda, an international student from Turkey
Here's his story
My connection with the University of Antwerp goes beyond the Master's programme I completed here. I had previously come here during my undergraduate years, as part of the Erasmus exchange programme. And honestly, it was one of the best periods of my life! I was so happy during that time that I decided to pursue a Master's degree just to return to the university.
Traveling is one of my greatest passions.
I love exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. Antwerp is one of the best locations in Europe for that. It’s central location makes it really easy to travel, not only within Belgium but also to neighboring countries like the Netherlands, Germany, and France. This creates the opportunity to have a truly international experience.
Now, let's talk about the university.
Thanks to the many English programmes offered to students, the University of Antwerp is a very international environment. Since the Business Economics programme had many project-based courses, I worked on numerous assignments with friends from various countries. This allowed me to see different perspectives and significantly improve my soft skills.
To not miss the opportunity to meet many new students like yourself and to speed up your adjustment process, I highly recommend that you join all the events of Welcome Week. Thanks to these events, I made lifelong friends from all over the world.
In conclusion, Antwerp is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
I am sure you will be very happy here, and you will have the best time of your life. If you ever want to take a break, I recommend visiting my favorite spot in the city, the MAS museum. You can go up to the panoramic rooftop terrace of MAS almost any time of the day, and it's free! While you're reading this, I will probably be there...
