Buddy programme

Every year, our faculty welcomes international students from all over the world. Regardless of where you are from, integrating into a new city and student population is always a challenge.

What does a typical day at the Faculty of Business and Economics look like? Where can I find the best coffee? Where do I buy my books? How do people in Antwerp usually spend their weekends? To help you familiarize with our education system, our culture and student life, the faculty can find you an enthusiastic buddy who can help you find your way.

Our buddies help you prepare for your trip to Antwerp, by answering questions online. Upon arrival, they welcome you during your first days in Antwerp and introduce you to the Belgian way of life. You keep in touch throughout the semester or academic year, online and in person, at your own pace and according to your and your buddy’s wishes.
