Professionals: €550
The tuition fee includes course material, software access, coffee breaks, a lunch excursion, social activities and a farewell dinner. It does not include travel and accommodation.
This summer school offers a rich and engaging experience, complete with essential amenities and activities to enhance your learning journey:
- Course Materials: Comprehensive course materials will be provided to support your learning. Please note that drawing paper and equipment will be the responsibility of each participant, with specific requirements to be determined individually.
- Software Access: Participants will have access to essential software, including the Adobe Creative Cloud, enabling them to utilise various digital tools for their artistic illustrations.
- Coffee Breaks: Enjoy a scheduled coffee break in the morning, providing opportunities to network with fellow participants and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.
- Lunch Excursion: Participants will embark on an excursion to the location that will be the focus of their redesign efforts. A lunch will be provided at the site, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the environment and gather inspiration for their projects.
- Closing Dinner: The course concludes with a celebratory dinner, offering a chance to reflect on the learning experience, share insights, and foster connections made during the programme.
These inclusions aim to create a supportive and enriching environment for all participants, ensuring a well-rounded and impactful educational experience.
Disclaimer - Cancellation
Cancellation by the organisation
Should the summer school be cancelled by the organiser for organisational reasons or as a result of force majeure, the organiser will refund the registration fee. Claims for further liabilities or damages are excluded.
Cancellation by the participant
If a participant decides to cancel their enrolment in the summer or winter school, they must notify the organiser in writing. The following cancellation policy applies, unless otherwise mentioned on the website of the specific summer or winter school.
- Cancellation more than six weeks before the programme’s start date: 20% of the full tuition fee* will be retained as a cancellation cost.
- Cancellation between two and six weeks before the programme’s start date: 50% of the full tuition fee* will be retained as a cancellation cost.
- Cancellation less than two weeks before the programme’s start date: No refund will be issued.
*Cancellation costs are based on the full tuition fee before deduction of the €150 scholarship provided to regular University of Antwerp students. Other types of discounts, such as early bird reductions, are not affected by this policy.
The organiser will not be liable for any further claims, damages, or losses resulting from the participant's cancellation. We strongly encourage securing travel insurance to protect against potential losses resulting from cancellation.
All refunds are processed in euros. The organisation cannot refund any shortfalls due to exchange rate fluctuations or bank charges.
Scholarships
Scholarships for University of Antwerp students
Two types of scholarships are available for students who are currently enrolled as regular students of the University of Antwerp.
- Discount of €150/student after attending a summer or winter school organised at Antwerp Summer and Winter University. The following students qualify for this discount: University of Antwerp students regularly enrolled under a diploma contract in a Bachelor, Master, Advanced Master, Preparatory Programme, Bridging Programme or Academic Teaching Programme, in either academic year 2024-2025 or 2025-2026.
- Scholarship for a short international experience for students who qualify for financial aid by the Department of Social, Cultural and Studentaffairs (SCS) (To be requested 3 months before the international activity)
