The summer school provides training in interprofessional, integrated, evidence based pharmaceutical care, for researchers, policy makers and health care providers in clinical practice. An interprofessional, integrated, evidence approach is essential in efficient and high quality pharmaceutical care and maximal patient safety. Participation in the summer school will offer you frameworks to improve interprofessional collaboration, advice for the implementation in clinical practice, and a strong background of evidence based interventions to improve the quality of pharmaceutical care. There will be lots of opportunities to exchange international experiences.

Day 1: Integrated, interprofessional pharmaceutical care. Frameworks for integrated, interprofessional pharmaceutical care, viewpoints of nurses, physicians and pharmacists, and challenges in clinical practice throughout the world.

Day 2: Evidence based interventions to improve the quality of pharmaceutical care. Interventions to improve the quality of nurse pharmaceutical care based on evidence and experiences of the international audience.

Day 3: Education and implementation in pharmaceutical care. Prerequisites for a successful implementation of interventions, including nurses’ competences, and reflections on what is needed for the future.

Day 4: Pharmaceutical care in specific patient populations. New evidence on how we can support high quality medicines use in specific populations looking at new guidelines and topics such as genomics, technology, …

Day 5: A team plan. International knowledge, experience and good practice will be shared, stimulating reflections on how the content of the training can be used back home. Together, we build a plan.
