You’ll need to give us the following information:
- The full name of the conference, project, event or partnership.
- The name of the contact person.
- A clear and logical site structure. Take a look at some examples.
- A striking photo or illustration (no logo!) for the header. This landscape image in jpeg has at least a resolution of 4000 X 2000 px. If you don't have an image available, you can consult our image database and download photos (cleared copyright) - do not forget to register at the top right.
- The name of the person in charge of updating the website. Subsites should be managed by a web content manager in your faculty or research unit who knows how the content management system works and is familiar with the web editing guidelines.
- Content managers only receive full writing permissions for a website if they submitted the web form: apply for editing rights.
- If this is impossible, we can indicate a new content manager. A maximum of two content managers can be appointed per subsite.
What do we do for you :
- The web editor or the conference coordinator builds the website based on your input and puts it online immediately.
- As an editor, you can add and keep updating the further content on this site.
- If necessary, a shortened URL can also be created, eg www.uantwerpen.be/kinderuniversiteit.
- If a separate domain name is available, we will ensure that this domain name points to your website.
Timing
Put in a request for a new subsite well before it actually needs to be online. Creating a site structure is a relatively fast process, but consulting about the header, finding a date for web training and developing the website's content may take a few weeks.
After publication
The work does not stop when the website is online. The site will need to be updated continuously. After the conference, project or event, the information online will have to be adapted: registration forms and practical information need to be taken offline, while photos of the event and/or presentations, reports, etc. will need to be uploaded.
