Participation

How to participate?

Participation in the workshop is possible both with and without a presentation.

Participation with a presentation

(closed for new contributions)

We welcome general presentations (20 minutes) on experience operating a national bibliographic database as well as presentations focused on a specific encountered challenge and the way how the challenge was addressed. Such challenges can be (but are not limited to):

  • Identification of scholarly publications
  • Integration of data from different sources
  • Metadata accuracy control
  • Classification of research output in the social sciences and the humanities
  • Collaboration with stakeholders (e.g. researchers, governmental organisations)

For presentations, please submit an abstract of around 250 words (.docx or .doc format) along with your registration.

For experience exchange sessions, we welcome suggestions of challenges to be discussed during the workshop (free format).

Participation without a presentation

Participation in the workshop is possible also without presenting a paper. In this case, we appreciate some suggestions of challenges to be discussed during the workshop (free format).

Registration

Register to the workshop by sending an e-mail to Linda Sīle: linda.sile[at]uantwerpen.be

Please, include in your e-mail your full name and affiliation, the name of the database you are working with, and a note on your participation in the event dinner (as well as dietary restrictions).

Participation in the workshop is free of charge. (Voluntary) pay-for-yourself dinner: around 40 EUR.

Practical information can be found here.

Limited number of participants

The number of participants (and presentations) for the workshop is limited. Therefore, we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

In case the number of interested people exceeds the maximum number we can host, we will give a priority to participants operating national bibliographic databases.

Call for contributions is also available in PDF format.

See you in Antwerp!
