On the specimen
On EACH SPECIMEN, a UNIQUE LABEL ALWAYS needs to be VISIBLE!!!
With this label, it is clear for the lab team to which lab user the specimen belongs.
This label is applied to the specimen with a golden marker pen.
Contact a lab assistant in case you cannot find a golden marker pen!
Storage during test procedure
All specimens that need to be stored under room conditions, are collected in small grey boxes.
Each lab user (or group of lab users) gets at least one personal (or group) small grey box.
For these boxes, small labels are foreseen on which a lab user can write his/her contact & project information.
Contact a lab assistant in case you cannot find the small labels!
Storage after test procedure
Specimens can only be stored after the test procedure WITH the APPROVAL of the PROJECT PROMOTOR !!!
The project promotor confirms the approval to the lab manager.
The lab manager will assign a location for the storage of the specimens.
Further details about labelling these specimens can be discussed with the lab manager.
In situ & raw material
When your project requires in situ and/or raw material, your project will take up more than average space in the lab.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO DISCUSS THIS WITH THE LAB MANAGER AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE !!!
For both applications, different labels are available. The lab manager or one of the lab assistants will help you with this.
