About
INCIPOL is a Methusalem-funded research program bringing together researchers from political science, communication science, and computational linguistics to study the complex interactions between citizens and their elected representatives. Building on the foundation of the Research Centre on Representatives and their Communication (RCRC), which began in 2019, INCIPOL expands its scope to further explore diverse facets of the reciprocal communicative relationship between citizens and politicians.
Amid growing public dissatisfaction with political representation, INCIPOL explores whether the communicative link between citizens and politicians is fractured—and what that means for democracy.
