1. We explore development theories from moral psychology (e.g., Kohlberg, Gilligan) and make the bridge to the tax context.

2. What are the main moral dilemmas in tax? What is moral development in tax? Who should be concerned with moral development? Does the law provide sufficient moral guidance?

3. How to cultivate moral development in tax? What are guiding principles? What is the role of human relations in moral behavior?​

2. Jumping Obstacles: Biased Thinking in Tax

 Tuesday 26 March 2024, 1 - 4 p.m.

1. We explore research on biased thinking, delve into some typical human biases (e.g., the confirmation bias), and make the bridge to the tax context.

2. What examples can we find of biases in the tax context? How does biased thinking bring risks to positive relationships in the tax context?

3. How can biased thinking be overcome?

3. Looking at the Future: Ethical Leadership in Tax

Tuesday 28 May 2024, 1 - 4 p.m

1. We explore ethical leadership theories and make the bridge to the tax context.

2. What are different dimensions of ethical leadership in the private and public tax context? Why should tax experts in the private and public sector be concerned with ethical leadership? How can ethical leadership bring trust?

3. How to develop ethical leadership in tax?
