Bridging programme
What is a bridging programme?
A professional bachelor's degree (from a university of applied sciences, 'hogeschool') never gives you direct access to an academic master's programme, but you can sometimes enter via a bridging programme.
In the bridging programme, you learn the programme-specific knowledge and (research) skills you need to be able to start the master's programme smoothly.
If you pass the bridging programme, you will not receive a degree, but a certificate. This gives you permission to enrol in the master's programme.
The bridging programme is taught in Dutch.
Admission requirements
Read the admission requirements thoroughly and find out if your previous education requires/allows you to follow the bridging programme.
Apply for exemptions
Sometimes you can get an exemption for a course unit. This means you do not have to take an exam for that course unit to get your degree. Find out more about exemptions here.
