We delve into to the findings of the Heritage Project at our historic site. How can heritage continue to inspire contemporary practice in arts and design and how can we implement it in the educational programs of both institutions (Royal Academy of Fine arts and Faculty of Design Sciences)?

From the plaster cast collection to the Prix de Rome sculptures and paintings, from the study collections of textiles, glass and stone, to the printing presses and furniture. The rich heritage of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and the Faculty of Design Sciences has been the subject of a heritage significance project, where students, (former) teachers, alumni, museum professionals, experts, volunteers, researchers and staff, were invited to discuss and explore the heritage value of the collections housed within this historic site. After two years, we conclude this process by joining once more to delve into the findings of the project and reflect on how heritage can continue to inspire and influence contemporary practice in arts and design and educational programs of both institutions.
